Homeopathic Dosage
General information on the correct intake of homeopathic remedies.
Homeopathic remedies are taken as follows, unless otherwise prescribed:
Homoeopathic globules, tablets or powder
After taking the homeopathic remedy don't swallow it but let it "melt" on the tongue in a form of a sublingual intake. Do not drink water immediate after taking the remedy. If homeopathic remedies are taken before or after a meal, leave a gap of 5 to 10 minutes.
Infants are best placed under the tongue for homeopathic globules. Powder and tablets (crushed) are moistened and painted in the baby's mouth. Note: Drops contain alcohol as a solvent and are therefore unsuitable for infants and children.
Dosage recommendations of single or multiple remedies in combination
Intake of a single remedy
Unless otherwise prescribed:
- Globules: 5 globules per dose
- Powder: 1 knife tip per dose
- Tablets: 1 tablet per dose
FREQUENCY of the remedies given:
At the beginning give the remedy every hour. With incipient improvement extend time intervals to 2, then to 3, then to 4 and 6 hours. After improvement, the remedy should be continued for 1 to 2 days in the morning / noon / evening.
Taking several remedies in alternation
At the beginning of each single remedy one dose should be taken every hour in alternation. With beginning improvement, extend the time intervals to 2 to 3 hours alternately. After improvement has occurred, each individual remedy should be taken alternating daily for 2 to 3 days (morning / afternoon / evening).
Homeopathic drops
Adults can drip drops for intake directly undiluted on the tongue. It is recommended not to swallow the homeopathic solution immediately, but for a more intensive mucosal contact move it several times in the mouth. If the drops are taken before or after a meal, a gap of 5 to 10 minutes should be kept.
Former alcoholics should not take drops but dodge to globules.
Dosage recommendations for drops: Please refer to the respective information on the package label or package insert.
Note:
This dosage recommendation comes from MR. Romed Recheis. In his book - "Homeopathy for Household Use" - Dr. Recheis describes his various application recommendations in more detail and we recommend you to read the book.
